ReVive is grateful to the Illinois Housing Development Authority for a grant to substantially renovate its Cressey House supportive housing site. All apartments will be renovated with new kitchens and bathrooms, energy efficient appliances, windows and lighting, and water conserving plumbing fixtures. New energy efficient HVAC equipment will be installed and the elevator will be brought up-to-date. The Engagement Center will be reconfigured to provide additional case management and occupational therapy spaces, comfortable respite areas, a community kitchen, and showers, bathrooms and laundry facilities to serve unsheltered homeless individuals. Construction is expected to begin early next year.
